Two years ago this week, Freedom Film Distributors officially launched our effort to bring independently produced films that promote the values of Faith, Family, and Freedom to communities across the nation and the world through grassroots promotion and distribution efforts. It has been a challenging journey thus far, but we are thankful for the opportunity that God has given us to help families across the country get involved in promoting great movies in their local area.

We have independent distributors across the country that are raising awareness about independently produced films through networking, attended local and regional events as exhibitors, and through hosting movie nights. Many of our distributor families have found great fulfillment in working together as a family in a simple and straightforward family business, one that even young children can participate in and develop important life and business skills such as planning, accounting, marketing, sales, and customer service. Most distributors have joined us because they love the films that we promote – many have had life-changing influence on them – and their passion for sharing the messages of the films motivates them in their local promotion and distribution efforts. Our National Movie Night project started last fall by premiering several new films nationwide, including Agenda: Griding America Down, which won the $101,000 Best of Festival Grand Prize at the 2010 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, and Divided, a controversial film that has had a huge impact on they way that Christians consider children and youth ministry. Since then, National Movie Night has held nationwide premieres of Resisting the Green Dragon, Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger, An Inconvenient Tax, Dale Evans: Beyond the Happy Trails, Gather the Family, Crying Wolf, and a special pre-release screening of Rescued: The Heart of Adoption and Caring for Orphans. The Films
Here are some of the significant films that Freedom Film Distributors has worked to promote these past two years.

Crying Wolf – Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park is about exposing the lies and proclaiming the truth about what the movement to bring back wolves to Yellowstone – and the rest of America – was, and is, really about, examined all through the lens of biblical stewardship and conservation. Crying Wolf is premiering nationwide through National Movie Night, which is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities. At a crucial time in the ecosystem management debate, the hour long Crying Wolf tells the side of the story that you won’t hear anywhere else. The documentary was released for a free online viewing on September 12, 2011 and has already generated over 26,500 views. The film alerts us to the dangerous agendas which lie at the root of the wolf issue that are designed to take away the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of the people of the United States of America and unite them under the banner of collectivist ideology. The movie is released at a critical moment as many environmental and animal rights advocacy groups are pushing fiercely to force their agendas through using any means possible all under the name of “saving” mother earth. Crying Wolf – Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park is particularly timely because these “Yellowstone” wolves are now spilling over from Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming and into the states of Washington, Oregon, Utah, the Dakotas, and Colorado. New Rescued documentary to get nationwide screening through Freedom Film Distributors and National Movie Night project
The brand new, still unreleased documentary film Rescued will be screened nationwide through National Movie Night this weekend, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. A special pre-release version of the film will be shown by dozens of movie night hosts around the country November 18-21, to provide an early look at this powerful documentary about adoption and caring for orphans. The executive producers, Randy Winton of Wintons Motion Pictures and Greg Hedrick of Hedrick Brothers Production, have announced they will partner with Freedom Film Distributors to promote the film nationwide through its grassroots network of independent distributors and through screenings of the film as part of the National Movie Night project. National Movie Night is designed to harness the energy of fans of family-oriented films by giving them a way to host movie nights for independently produced films in their communities.
Rescued is a film that calls Christians to heed the biblical call from James 1:27 to care for orphans and to consider adoption as a way of caring for them. Movie Night Hosts are being provided a complimentary pre-release copy of Rescued to show at their event this weekend.
Rescued has been entered as a contestant into the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF). Now in its seventh year, SAICFF has established itself as the premiere independent Christian film festival, and gives away the largest single cash prize of any film festival in the US – secular or Christian. Each year a check for $101,000 is awarded to the Best of Festival Jubilee Award winner. Tomorrow, November 5th, 2011 is the 100th Birthday of Roy Rogers – beloved Hollywood western movie and TV star. To commemorate this special anniversary, we are proud to present the 2-DVD Collector’s Edition of Dale Evans: Beyond the Happy Trails. Family Worship is on the rise. Kevin Swanson of Generations Radio discussed family worship and interviewed Donald Whitney, author of Family Worship in the Bible, in History, and in Your Home, along with Steve Morales, founder of Freedom Film Distributors, to discuss this trend and what is driving it. Ultimately, God calls on His people to worship him in daily life, and the application of this in the home is what is referred to as Family Worship.

Don Whitney shared the biblical and historical basis of this practice, and Steve Morales shared about the just-released Family Worship video titled Gather the Family, produced by Ken Carpenter of Franklin Springs Family Media. Kevin Swanson declared
"It is the best video on family worship, on fatherhood, on discipleship in the home… I think it's the top number one best produced video on these things."

This act of the Congress legally separated the American Colonies from Great Britain, and thus formed the birth of the American nation as a collection of sovereign states, independent of a foreign power.
John Adams wrote his wife Abigail on July 3 about the resolution of independence:
"The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more."
