Best Documentary award-winning film "IndoctriNation" reveals the anti-God nature of American public education, will be screened nationwide through National Movie Night this weekend

Esmont, VA, 3/16/2012 — The award winning new film, IndoctriNation: Public Schools and the Decline of Christianity in America, produced by serial documentarian Colin Gunn, will be premiered nationwide March 16-18 through the National Movie Night, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. Traveling all over America with his family in a big yellow school bus and conducting a series of candid conversational interviews, Colin Gunn, a Scottish filmmaker, actor, and homeschool father of seven children living in Texas, is on a quest to discover the origins of our modern educational system. What he discovers is a masterful design that sought to replace God’s plan for training up the next generation with a humanistic, man-centered program that fragmented the family and undermined the influence of the Church and its Great Commission.

Part documentary, part testimonial — a confessional and a rebuke, this film is above all a challenge and an encouragement to millions of Christians who need to know what history, experience, and the Scriptures have to say about what is perhaps the pivotal issue of our time: the discipleship and training of the next generation. IndoctriNation is premiering nationwide through National Movie Night, which is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities. Freedom Film Distributors will also promote and distribute the film nationwide through its grassroots network of distributors and affiliates.

At the 2012 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF), IndoctriNation took the Jubilee award for Best Documentary, and was runner up for the $101,000 Best of Festival award, the largest grand prize for any independent film festival. Upon receiving the ‘Best Documentary’ award, Gunn noted that Indoctrination was made for “others out of genuine love for the concerns of children in America. We were so blessed to give this message. And at the end of the film [we] make it clear: The problem with public schools is that [they] drive children away from Christ. And that was the real reason for making this film, and we pray that the Lord was glorified in it.” Heralded as the right film at the right time by the right person, IndoctriNation has been critically acclaimed by leading Christian thinkers.

Indoctrination movie

Cal Thomas (America’s most widely syndicated op-ed columnist) writes:

"Every Christian parent with a child in a government school should see this [movie] and be forced to confront their unwillingness to do what Scripture requires for the children on loan to them by God. A mass exodus from government schools is the only way to preserve the souls and minds of our children." IndoctriNation is a feature length documentary film that takes the audience on a panoramic exploration of one of the most important and controversial issues in the history of mankind, the issue of education.

Ted Baehr of MovieGuide exclaimed:

"This is the most important issue facing the Body of Christ, an issue that must be addressed and put to rest forever. IndoctriNation is an extremely important movie. Every church in America should show IndoctriNation. Every Christian should show IndoctriNation to their friends."

Family Worship Month and Family Worship Sunday

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

Pastors Unite to Promote Family Bible Reading in Recognition of Family Worship Month

RICHMOND, VA,  Jan. 24, 2012  — January is Family Worship Month and pastors around the world are speaking to their congregations Sunday, January 29th about the importance of reading the scriptures, praying and singing together as a family in the home.  Sign the Family Worship Month Declaration.

The release of the films Courageous and Gather the Family have ignited thousands of men to become spiritual leaders in the home. Additionally, well known authors, theologians, and Christian leaders have stepped out in front of the Family Worship Movement to humbly call the church back to this historic, and life-changing spiritual discipline.  Some of the prominent leaders include the following:

Joel R. Beeke

"As goes the home, so goes the church, and so goes the nation. Therefore it is of vital importance to us that we, the ministers of the Word, promote family worship in our congregations."

Ray Rhodes

"The Reformation era left a rich legacy of family worship. The goal of family worship is for you and your family to be exposed to the character of God so that you may know and worship Him. Family worship involves regular family gatherings and will always include Scripture readings and prayer. However, you may also use other material that will help you to focus on the great work of God throughout history. Remember, as the Puritans taught, your home is a "little church" where Christ is to be worshipped. The little church does not replace the local church; however, faithfulness in family worship will greatly enhance the congregational worship of God."

Don Whitney

"In conjunction with Family Worship Month, many Christian leaders have already signed the Family Worship Declaration. Sunday, January 29, 2012 is Family Worship Sunday and a multitude of pastors will encourage their congregations to begin the practice of Family Worship in the home. You can also visit the website, www.FamilyWorshipMonth.com to read articles and watch videos explaining the importance of, and how to engage in, Family Worship."

Jerry Marcellino

"There is a tool that could possibly do the most generational good in our reforming efforts, but it has been either lost or grossly neglected, even in reforming churches! This tool is called family worship. Family worship is the daily practice of Christian homes offering together true "worth-ship" to the living God. It is to be a purposefully-scheduled, daily worship service in every Christian home (Joshua 24:15). This God-honoring tool for reformation is one that should be given high priority by every church in its ongoing work."

Ted Tripp

"It is not possible to overstate the benefits of family worship. God is acknowledged, not just theoretically, but practically; God is in each day's agenda. Family needs are brought before God. Each member of the family is reminded daily that in God we find the life that is truly life. Hearing members of the family pray provides insight into their thoughts of God. Each day provides new opportunities to impress children with the importance of knowing God. Organizing life around God is a powerful expression of family priorities."

Terry Johnson

"If your children are in your home for 18 years, you have 6,570 occasions (figuring a six day week) for family worship. What is the cumulative impact of just 15 minutes of this each day, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, for 18 years?"

Ray Comfort

"In Old Testament times, people built altars to God to commemorate something He had done. Altars served as a memorial to teach succeeding generations about God and His character. Gathering for a family "altar" or a devotional time is a good way to teach your children about God and His ways."

Whitney Kuniholm

"Scripture Union's ministry focuses in two vital areas: children and the Bible. We strive to share God's love with children and lead them to follow Jesus in obedience to Jesus' command to "let the little children come to me and not hinder them". We work to help people of all ages to meet God every day through Bible reading and prayer because God's word is truly "a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" for all who read and obey it."

Steve Demme

"God is alive. The Almighty, All-Loving God wants to see your kids around the throne more than you do. And God wants to teach your kids, and is capable of teaching your kids. Now He will use you, because He designed you to be doing it."

Family Worship Month is an inter-denominational movement comprised of leading ministries and Christian leaders designed to restore the historical practice of family worship.

An annual call each January to pastors, fathers, and mothers, Family Worship Month culminates in Family Worship Sunday which is January 29, 2012 when pastors from around the world will call their congregations and their own households to spend time together in prayer and reading God's Word.

Eye-opening new documentary exposé of the wolf movement in the United States, Crying Wolf – Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park to get Nationwide Screening through Freedom Film Distributors and National Movie Night project

Crying Wolf documentary

Esmont, VA, 12/2/2011 — The eye-opening new documentary film Crying Wolf, produced by 20 year old filmmaker Jeffrey D. King, will be premiered nationwide December 2-4, through National Movie Night, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. 18 year old King had no idea what he was getting himself into. Having grown up in rural Montana with a love of God, His creation, and filmmaking, he wanted to have his first major project include all three. Two years of searching, questioning, and many eye-opening interviews later, what was going to be a film about wolves turned into to something much bigger: An exposé of one of the most covered up big-government and environmental frauds of his generation. Crying Wolf – Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park is about exposing the lies and proclaiming the truth about what the movement to bring back wolves to Yellowstone – and the rest of America – was, and is, really about, examined all through the lens of biblical stewardship and conservation. Crying Wolf is premiering nationwide through National Movie Night, which is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities. Freedom Film Distributors will also promote and distribute the film nationwide through its grassroots network of independent film distributors and via its Freedom Web Store and affiliate team.

At a crucial time in the ecosystem management debate, the hour long Crying Wolf tells the side of the story that you won’t hear anywhere else. The documentary was released for a free online viewing on September 12, 2011 and has already generated over 26,500 views. The film alerts us to the dangerous agendas which lie at the root of the wolf issue that are designed to take away the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of the people of the United States of America and unite them under the banner of collectivist ideology. The movie is released at a critical moment as many environmental and animal rights advocacy groups are pushing fiercely to force their agendas through using any means possible all under the name of “saving” mother earth. Crying Wolf – Exposing the Wolf Reintroduction to Yellowstone National Park is particularly timely because these “Yellowstone” wolves are now spilling over from Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming and into the states of Washington, Oregon, Utah, the Dakotas, and Colorado. To make matter worse, these states are ignorantly welcoming these destructive predators and the destructive agendas behind them, with open arms. Similar wolf developments are happening in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada, and Arizona. Crying Wolf is a call for liberty loving Americans everywhere to wake up.

“Jeffrey D. King’s recent production, ‘Crying Wolf’ has buoyed my hope for our national future amidst the national dilemma resulting from the environmental/animal rights assault on the rights, freedom, culture, and traditions of the United States of America,” says retired United States Fish and Wildlife biologist Jim Beers. “My faith in future generations to provide for the Nation, despite the discouraging half-truths and lies that bombard them daily, is not only renewed but happily confirmed.”

Family Worship is as old as the church itself, and was a regular part of family life from the time of the Great Reformation until falling out of practice with the disruption of family life due to the industrial revolution and the advent of modern education. Family Worship was one of the daily activities that defined American colonial life, and was one of the chief reasons that America was the most literate nation on earth (perhaps ever) by the early 1800s. Some of the greatest English and American pastors and theologians clearly demonstrate its central role through their writings, such as in these examples:

We deeply want a revival of domestic religion. The Christian family was the bulwark of godliness in the days of the puritans, but in these evil times hundreds of families of so-called Christians have no family worship, no restraint upon growing sons, and no wholesome instruction or discipline. How can we hope to see the kingdom of our Lord advance when His own disciples do not teach His gospel to their own children? Oh, Christian men and women, be thorough in what you do and know and teach! Let your families be trained in the fear of God and be yourselves "holiness unto the Lord"; so shall you stand like a rock amid the surging waves of error and ungodliness which rage around us.   – Charles Spurgeon

Every Christian family ought to be as it were a little church, consecrated to Christ, and wholly influenced and governed by his rules. And family education and order are some of the chief means of grace. If these fail, all other means are likely to prove ineffectual. If these are duly maintained, all the means of grace will be likely to prosper and be successful.   — Jonathan Edwards

Join us this weekend – host a Gather the Family movie night by inviting another family over, or just on your own, to become inspired to spend time together studying God's Word and giving thanks to Him. Gather the Family and discover the Joy of Family Worship.

Nationwide Premier of Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger Starts Tonight

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger

Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger is premiering nationwide starting tonight through National Movie Night.

The exciting new action film Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger, produced by the Persevero Films, will be premiered nationwide April 29 – May 1st, through National Movie Night, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. The Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger trailer video recently won Second-Place in the Drama TV Showcase Competition at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention at the end of February.  National Movie Night is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities. Freedom Film Distributors will also promote and distribute the film nationwide through its grassroots network of distributors.

Jimmy Valiant: Scions of Danger is a pilot for a proposed episodic Christian action-thriller series for network broadcast, internet streaming, and DVD. As a pilot this episode is intended to serve as a concept for a series that, if approved by studios and networks for full-budget production, would expand. The pilot’s story itself would likely be extended and incorporated into the larger story of the entire 13-episode series.

When the individualistic, cynical soldier-for-hire Jimmy Valiant (Brant Harris) is recruited to protect an idealistic Texas state senator, the two are forced to work together to unravel a conspiracy that forces Jimmy to face a dilemma between his own lust for vengeance and his family's convictions about justice. After a tragedy in the family business, an anonymous client recruits Jimmy to shadow a controversial Texas State Senator. Jimmy must overcome his myopia as he initiates an investigation that uncovers some startling truths, and brings him face-to-face with the last man in the world that he ever wanted to meet again. Jimmy soon finds himself caught up in a conspiracy that threatens to undermine everything that he has come to trust.

Resisting the Green Dragon documentary will premiere nationwide through National Movie Night

Resisting the Green Dragon

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Explosive new Environmental Documentary to get Nationwide Screening through Freedom Film Distributors and National Movie Night project

Esmont, VA, 4/12/2011 — The powerful new documentary film Resisting the Green Dragon, produced by the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, will be premiered nationwide on Earth Day weekend, April 22-24, through National Movie Night, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. The Resisting the Green Dragon documentary is the introduction to a larger 12 part DVD series that provides a Biblical analysis and critique of the radical environmentalist movement. The series educates and warns Christians of the dangers of this movement that seeks to lure them into unwise actions and ways of thinking about the environment. National Movie Night is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities. Freedom Film Distributors will also promote and distribute the film and its accompanying 12 part DVD series nationwide through its grassroots network of distributors.

At a critical moment in the global environmental debate, many of America’s top Christian leaders have joined with the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation to produce an explosive new 12-part DVD series and introductory documentary film called Resisting the Green Dragon. The series sounds the alarm about dangerous environmental extremism and brings a Biblical viewpoint on environmental issues and creation stewardship to evangelical churches, ministries, and schools. The new video series comes at a time when environmental advocacy groups are frustrated that their top priority for the past two decades—a global treaty to curtail fossil fuel use to fight alleged catastrophic global warming—is losing steam.

Resisting the Green Dragon is therefore particularly timely because it not only refutes the scientific case for dangerous manmade warming and other “crises,” but also exposes how environmental organizations use sophisticated media campaigns and even seek increased global governance to promote their agenda among policy makers, religious leaders, and youth. “One of the greatest threats to society and the church today is the multifaceted environmentalist movement,” says Cornwall Alliance founder and national spokesman Dr. E. Calvin Beisner. “There isn’t an aspect of life that it doesn’t seek to force into its own mold.”

Many well-known Christian leaders agree. Focus on the Family’s Tom Minnery joined Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins, the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s Richard Land, Concerned Women for America’s Wendy Wright, Home School Legal Defense Association’s Michael Farris, National Religious Broadcasters’ Frank Wright, WallBuilders’ David Barton, and radio talk-show host Janet Parshall in providing commentary for and recommendation of the 12-part DVD series.

Esmont, VA, 12/2/2010 — The new documentary film DIVIDED is being premiered nationwide this weekend through National Movie Night, a project of Freedom Film Distributors. Over 65 hosts have volunteered to show the film in their homes, churches, and private facilities during the weekend of December 3-5.  This is the first of several nationwide screenings of this new documentary on the American church and youth ministry.

The producer, Peter Bradrick of the National Council of Family Integrated Churches, chose to partner with Freedom Film Distributors to promote and distribute the film nationwide through its grassroots network of independent distributors and through screenings of the film as part of the National Movie Night project. National Movie Night is designed to harness the energy of fans of family-oriented films by giving them a way to host movie nights for independently produced films in their communities.

DIVIDED follows young Christian filmmaker Philip LeClerc on a revealing journey as he seeks answers to what has led his generation away from the church. Traveling across the country conducting research and interviewing church kids, youth ministry experts, evangelists, statisticians, social commentators, and pastors, Philip discovers the shockingly sinister roots of modern, age-segregated church programs, and equally shocking evidence that the pattern in the Bible for training future generations is at odds with modern church practices. For more info and to see the film trailer, visit: http://www.dividedthemovie.com.

National Movie Night - Join us and host a movie night in your community!

The National Movie Night project was recently launched as one component of the strategy of Freedom Film Distributors to build an alternative distribution network outside of the existing Hollywood structures. National Movie Night establishes a schedule of nationally coordinated movie nights that will focus promotion for a particular film in a defined date range. This will allow Freedom Film Distributors to leverage its national promotional campaigns through its Movie Night Hosts at the local level for the film screenings they are hosting. Movie Night Hosts will be provided with planning guidance and promotional tools to set up and promote their movie night, and with DVD packs to distribute to event attendees. The goal is to provide a conduit for grassroots activism to promote independently produced family-friendly films to diverse audiences all around the country. For more info, visit: http://nationalmovienight.com

National Movie Night - Join us and host a movie night in your community!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Antonio, TX, 11/3/2010 — The new documentary film Agenda: Grinding America Down won the Jubilee Best of Festival Award and $101,000 cash Grand Prize at the 2010 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF) Saturday night October 30th.   The writer, director, and producer, Curtis Bowers, a former Idaho State Representative, has announced he will partner with Freedom Film Distributors to promote and distribute the film nationwide through its grassroots network of distributors and with nationwide screening of the film through the National Movie Night project. National Movie Night is designed to harness the energy of fans of independently produced films by giving them a way to host movie nights in their communities.
 Curtis Bowers SAICFF acceptance speech
Agenda: Grinding America Down is a new documentary film that exposes the long-advancing agenda of socialism in America, begun by Karl Marx and other revolutionary agents in the past all the way up to the present day. It demonstrates that the drastic changes in American society have been by design, and have successfully assaulted the Christian heritage and foundations of the nation. Representative Bowers attended the Christian Filmmakers Academy at last year’s SAICFF, and was inspired to produce Agenda after a “Letter to the Editor” he penned about the immense changes in America’s culture became the feature story on the evening news and prompted protests at the Idaho State Capitol.
Speaking of his partnership with Freedom Film Distributors, Bowers said, "The National Movie Night Project is making it very simple for families all over America to accomplish the goal of educating those around them by using the powerful tool of visual media to communicate truth.   My hope and prayer is that thousands of families across America will get involved with this project, so it will have a huge impact in turning America's culture back."

Now in its sixth year, the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival (SAICFF) has established itself as the premiere Christian film festival, and gives away the largest single cash prize of any film festival in the US secular or Christian. Each year a check for $101,000 is awarded to the Best of Festival Jubilee Award winner. One of the key components of its mission is "To facilitate the development of alternative and independent vehicles for producing and distributing films outside the Hollywood machine, which will build, bless, and benefit the American family."
The National Movie Night project was launched last week as one component of the strategy of Freedom Film Distributors to build the "alternative and independent vehicles" mentioned in the SAICFF mission.
